{"id":1629,"date":"2013-03-02T09:40:00","date_gmt":"2013-03-02T07:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/byzantion.ro\/?post_type=membri&#038;p=1629"},"modified":"2022-06-15T17:13:44","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T15:13:44","slug":"adrian-sirbu","status":"publish","type":"membri","link":"https:\/\/byzantion.ro\/en\/membri\/adrian-sirbu\/","title":{"rendered":"Adrian S\u00eerbu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"179\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/byzantion.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/adrian_sirbu.JPG\" alt=\"adrian sirbu\" class=\"wp-image-578\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>President<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; founding member of the association;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Adrian S\u00eerbu graduated from the \u201cSt. Basil the Great\u201d Orthodox Theological Seminary of Ia\u0219i, he holds two Bachelor\u2019s degrees, from the \u201cDumitru St\u0103niloae\u201d Faculty of Orthodox Theology of Ia\u015fi, and from the Faculty of Composition, Musicology, Musical Pedagogy, and Theatre of the \u201cGeorge Enescu\u201d University of the Arts from Ia\u015fi, and a Master\u2019s degree in in \u201cChristian philosophy and Cultural dialogue\u201d from the Faculty of Philosophy of the \u201cAl. I. Cuza\u201d University of Ia\u0219i. He also graduated the Master program in Byzantine music of the State Conservatory of Athens, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Georgios Konstantinou. He is an alumni of the \u201c\u0396\u03c9\u03bf\u03b4\u03cc\u03c7\u03bf\u03c5 \u03a0\u03b9\u03b3\u03ae\u03c2\u201d School of Byzantine Music from Athens and of State Conservatory of Athens, department of Byzantine Music, where he studied with Professor Lykourgos Angelopoulos, Archon Protopsaltes of the Ecumenical Archdiocese of Constantinople.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the conductor of the <strong>BYZANTION<\/strong> Choir, that he founded in 1997, Adrian S\u00eerbu has developed many activities as a performer and researcher, and he took part in numerous festivals, international symposiums, and tours in Romania, Greece, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Poland, Belgium, Spain, Russia, and the Czech Republic; he also participated in the festal Church Services from the Country and the Athos Mountain and edited 13 albums of byzantine music and Christmas carols. From 2004 he is a member of the Greek Byzantine Choir (Athens) and from 2010 he is a member of the Medieval Music Choir of Graindelavoix (Belgium).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He expanded his research activity by publishing several articles in specialist journals and by translating several books from Greek into Romanian, such as \u201cThe Theory and Practice of Church Music\u201d by Georgios Konstantinou, \u201cThe importance of Simon Karas\u2019s research and teaching method in the signalling and inventorying of heironomic signs (oral interpretation of written tradition)\u201d, and \u201cThe voices of Byzantium\u201d by Lykourgos Angelopoulos.
